We are excited to announce our first couple’s trip to Egypt: the land of antiquity and magic! Egypt is known as one of the world’s most sacred lands, and it has a story to tell! Be awed as history comes to life within the walls of its ancient temples and famed pyramids! Feel the mystery of the tombs of ancient kings and queens. Let your soul be captured by the natural beauty of its sandy deserts and your heart filled by its warm and welcoming culture. Be transported back in time as we travel by cruise boat up the River Nile. Warning: you may never want to leave! 

During this nine day adventure for couples we will be joined by Samir, our dear friend and Egyptologist! He will enlighten us with ancient history, captivate us with mythology and tales, guide us to his favorite local spots, and likely become a friend for life!

October 8 - 12, 2023

The quaint desert beach town of Dahab will be our home for the next three days. Formerly a Bedouin fishing village, Dahab is now considered to be one of Egypt's most treasured diving destinations. From our oceanfront hotel you'll soak up the sun, swim in the Red Sea, or relax on the beach. Stroll the boardwalk and feel transported back in time as you explore the traditional Bedouin shops and restaurants. Our dear friend, Mohammed, will guide us deep into the Sinai desert for the sacred pilgrimage up Mount Sinai and it's breathtaking views of the blue-green peaks at sunset. We'll visit the famous monastery of St. Catherine and hear tales of his family and the Bedouin way of life. Our final day by the sea will be topped off with a snorkeling tour to the famous Blue Hole and a chance to hike the desert trails into the mountains overlooking the Red Sea. This is sure to be an adventure like no other!

DAYS 5 TO 7: LUXOR

As we cruise toward Luxor, we’ll stop to explore the magnificent temple of Kom Ombo, or “the hill of gold,” and the vast complex of the Karnak temple. After a stop at the famed Luxor Temple we’ll return to the cruise boat to enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the rooftop pool and hot tub. In the evening soak up the sunset as you indulge in cocktails, lavish eats, and an Egyptian folklore experience! The next morning we’ll travel back through time to one of the most famed archeological sites known to man: the Valley of the Kings, home to 62 known tombs of the dynasties of the recent centuries. Visits to Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossal of Memnon will round out the day before heading into town to explore the former capital city of the ancient kingdom.

DAYS 8 TO 9: CAIRO

Our morning flight back to Cairo will gift us with two days to explore Coptic Cairo and the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest, most complex collection of ancient treasures and artifacts in the world! We’ll visit the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and Saqqara, the ancient burial ground of Egyptian royalty! The first leg of our trip will culminate with an evening of celebration and gratitude for our grand adventure together!

DAYS 9 TO 13: THE SOUTHERN SINAI PENINSULA
